In 1904 General Charles Henry Taylor, the proprietor of the Boston Globe and a veteran of a Civil War, purchased the team for his son John I. Taylor. The team once had names such as the Puritans, Pilgrims and Plymouth Rocks. Taylor replaced the group’s name Pilgrims to Red Sox in 1907. In 1910, Taylor said that he would build a ballpark for his Red Sox because for the reason the he’s tired out of rental agreement for the Huntington Avenue Grounds. Because of the setting in the Fenway part of Boston, Taylor named the new ballpark Fenway Park.

Fenway continues a connection to the legends of baseball’s history, even though the scoreboard is managed manually, its geometrically unusual shape (including the only ladder in play in the majors) and the legends story that played for more eight decades.
